Over my career of more than 20 years, I have worked for various companies as an analyst programmer, application developer and database developer. I’ve worn variety of hats in the technical department including system administration, database development, technical support and CRM data manipulation.
In recent years, I’ve focused on development, undertaking CRM integrations and bug-fixing for legacy timekeeping and document management systems.

During my time at Cleanaway, a crisis arose at head-office when the enterprise IBM AS400 system went partially on the blink just before monthly billing. Luckily they were able to call upon their only PC programmer to tackle the problem. I used an ODBC driver to extract the data to an MS Access database and wrote a few VBA routines to handle the template and printing. The hardest part was sitting by the huge noisy Dot-Matrix printers for two days – but Voila! – all customers were billed on time – crisis averted.
