Bilzin Sumberg is proud of the work it does to help its clients achieve their goals and ultimately grow their business. Bilzin Sumberg believes that data management innovation and technology are important to understanding their client’s experiences and delivering service excellence. At the heart of that belief is a robust competitive intelligence and knowledge management strategy.
Paul VanderMeer, Chief Knowledge Officer, has the responsibility of delivering the technology to meet that strategy. “Stanton Allen was recommended to me by one of their other clients who was delighted with the work they had done for them,” VanderMeer said. “We started with a relatively simple project to create some event management reports, but it became clear to me very quickly that the team at Stanton Allen could be critical in helping us with a whole range of needs.”
Following the success of the initial reports, Stanton Allen was asked to make a detailed analysis of the firm’s data related to Stanton Allen’s CRM system. Applications were installed to automatically analyze and score the data so the firm could focus its effort on the most important clients and contacts.
“There is a temptation to use CRM as a firm-wide address book,” added Martyn Balham, who worked on the data scoring analysis for Stanton Allen. “And whilst systems offer that facility, those firms who really succeed are those that understand how to implement a focused approach to managing data and who use the integration and reporting to drive the capture and management of that information.”
Most recently Bilzin Sumberg has implemented the Score Card and Score Card League Table, which take snapshots of the data and “gamifies” the results. These reports give the assistants incentive to work with their attorneys to provide the information the firm needs to drive business intelligence.
